Post (after) Show Post:
The Fall 2008 Show was amazing! We had a great turnout and a successful performance. Thanks to all who came out and saw the show, and to those who were not able to see it; there is always next semester. AND- the best thing about the show is that it did not close out the semester for the Longhorn Singers.

If you are in the mood for Holiday music, and you like the Longhorn Singers, you are in luck! The Longhorn Singers will be performing with the other ensembles in the HOLIDAY CHORAL CONCERT on Saturday December 6th! (That is, the Saturday after the LAST DAY OF CLASSES for the Fall 2008 Semester).

For more information please check out the official information page on the concert:
http://www.music.utexas.edu/calendar/details.aspx?id=10026

If you are itching for some holiday Music before this, please be on the lookout for the combined choral ensembles on the West Mall toward the last few days of class for our carol singing, lead by Dr. James Morrow.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Longhorn Singers!

First Post!

Welcome to the Longhorn Singers blog page!
This will be a place for fans of all ages to learn a little bit more about what the Longhorn Singers are doing. Find out about upcoming events (including the Fall Show!), and past events.

So to set the record straight, our FALL SHOW will be on November 15, 2008 in the McCullough at 2:00 and 8:00 Theater at the University of Texas at Austin.

Our show is called Feeling Good, and the admission price is $10. While in the past you may have been able to reserve tickets in advanced, this year you must purchase tickets at the door. Show up early so you do not miss the begining of the show.

On Sunday, the Longhorn Singers sang at the Longhorn Halloween at the Erwin Center. We sang a few songs from our OU weekend selection including "The Yellow Rose of Texas" and "If You're Gonna Play In Texas." We also brought several songs back from past semesters including "Time Warp" and "Footloose."

Stay Tuned for more information on our upcoming shows.
